Iris Florists / RebrandingIris are the leading florists in Romania, having a name synonym with high-end flower arrangements, a 40 year long history dating back to the Communist era along with a clients list that would make any luxury brand blush. In 2010 they asked me to update their 20 years old self designed identity in order to match the brands influential and contemporary position on an expanding dynamic market. The moment also marked passing the baton between generations, from the original founders to their two complimentary sons, one trained throughout the best flower arrangement schools in the Netherlands and the other, a striving economist. Hence the final symbol resembling two yin yang “F” and “I” pairs – (I)ris (F)lowershop. Though in the end I have designed a large number of communication materials, I chose to show you some screen-shots made during the most exciting part of the branding process—before the logo approval.
